"Give me the liberty to know, to utter and to argue freely according to my conscience, above all other liberties." Milton
When Bethany's not in the office, you can often find her actively involved in her community. As a member of the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors, she has been a vocal advocate for fairer, more accountable and open government, spearheading a movement to revise the County's ethics law, expand health insurance benefits to domestic partners, and requesting audit assistance from the State Comptroller's Office. When she's not fighting for better government, she is fighting to help the homeless animals of Montgomery County as Secretary to the SPCA board of directors, and chair of the annual appeal campaign.
In her free time, Bethany and Chicago-native husband, Wesley are avid Bears football fans, and reserve Sundays in the fall for family time and football. They are expecting their first child in April, 2008.
